Another day of restoration comes to an end. The meeting went well in church until the joiners began to fit the nave arch screen into the bell tower. A template had been made by the joiners on site, but the manufactured profile seems to bear little resemblance to the 15ft hole it needs to fit into. The church is full of contractors all trying to work in the same spaces. I know we will get there in the end; we have a great and capable team on board. Some photos of St Michaels today, as promised.
