On Monday we said farewell to a lovely man from my congregation. Jim Lightfoot was always a joy to spend time with. He always had tale after tale to tell, always amusing and with his own particular slant. He loved to moan, but never in a negative way. I have known Jim for over 20 years and in all that time whatever life has thrown at him, he has looked on the positive side and trusted God in way that was humbling to witness. This photo is Jim with his daughter Lynne at some family do! Jim’s wife and Lynne’s mam, Doreen, died in October 2006 after a long illness. Jim’s death last week leaves many shocked and the world a less colourful place. May he rest in peace.
