Having a reflective service at 2.00pm today in St Mary’s was a peaceful hour in a busy day. Workers were in St Michael’s at 8.00am and there was still a lot of work to be done. I have left the church this evening and we are almost ready for a rededication service. The bellringers have pulled the bells and made a lovely sound, the electricity is powering through various circuits. It is clear that the lights are still in need of work to get the balances right. The sound system is running and all in all it has been a great effort by a huge number of people. Flowers are looking lovely both in the church and in the hall for the reception afterwards.
