People flocked to St Michael's yesterday to look up details in our old registers. To see when they were baptised, and married and to check they were not dead. It was a day that ended with short prayers of thanksgiving for all who have played a part in Newburn Parish worship over the centuries. Margaret did all the hard work and was rewarded with thanks and a cake.
